Question:

"Get off of your horse and drink your milk"?

(a) I keep finding information on various internet pages claiming John Wayne never said "Get off of your horse and drink your milk" in any of his movies (including previous yahoo answers)...

(b) Yet John Wayne has starred in literally hundreds of movies - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000078/#actor so I fail to see how people can be so sure...

(c) And I have very clear memories of me and my brother parodying John Wayne saying this when we were children (years ago)... And I believe this was after having heard John Wayne say it in a movie.

Do you have the courage to agree with me?

Is it impossible that the "collective" that is the internet is wrong??

Perhaps the urban legend that JW didn't say this is the REAL misquote?

Any other examples of mis-misquotes out there you know of?
