What snappy comeback do the global warming people have for that? The whole concept of man-made is turning out to be one of the biggest jokes of all time. Remeber this next time the government says we need to pay more taxes to sacrifice this or that to fix something that ISNT EVEN REAL.

  1. I find your comments interesting since both parties agree that we need to find alternative sources of energy.

  2. The data only shows that the sea ice extent this year was not as low as last year.  Keep in mind, sea ice forms each season.  While 2007 was an all-time low, 2008 is the 4th smallest sea ice extent on record.

hardly is this anything you can use for your agenda.  Sorry.  Sea ice is still shrinking.

  3. Wow..you used a great source "dailytech' ..never heard of it. Probably Published by some oil company subsidiary.

But anyway how does it feel to live in a world were there are no consequences for your actions? That must be very liberating for you. You Can fill the air with CO2 and Pollutants while simultaneously stripping the earth of thousands of acres of O2 producing and air cleaning trees every day and there are no consequences..that must be nice for you but I live in the real world where there are consequences, and the thing is before too long even the most staunch opponenets wont be able to deny it, but hopefully it wont be too late. I also included a more credible link - National Geographic.

The summer of 2005, Copland said, had the lowest amount of Arctic Ocean sea ice ever recorded.

In addition, 2005 was the warmest summer recorded on Ellesmere Island since 1960, with temperatures about 3.8°F (2.1°C) above average.

  4. Thats why smart people in the UK are starting to say "NO MORE" on this BS

  5. im sure theyll say bush fooled them into believing it was real.

What does alt energy have to do with global warming? Nothing. the reason they say we need alt energy is not enough oil. thats why they use the term "Renewable"

Yeah man, im waiting to see what gore is gonna do now! ;)

  6. You are so clueless.

This also is happening... just this week.

It sure makes it easier to drive around in your gas guzzler and think that natural resources aren limitless with your lack of concern over global warming.  You better just hope you are an old f**t so you die before the seeds you are sowing now actually blossom.   Take a look at the complete picture... not just one small part of the picture.

  7. Wow.  Michael Asher is known for misleading articles

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

but this has got to be his worst ever.  It's just flat-out wrong.

Just look at the data plotted by the same source he cites, the NSIDC

    http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/image...

It directly contradicts his claims.  As you can see, this year's arctic ice melt still has a chance to break last year's record, and quite obviously arctic sea ice extent is still decreasing (and very rapidly, considering it's September, as you can see by comparing the current slope to the average and 2007 September slopes).

Asher's DailyTech article, as usual, is a complete joke.

  8. You do realize that this is the first year in recorded history that one can circumnavigate the north pole right? If you want science news, don't look at right wing bloggers for authors. This article is just as dumb as something taken out of the Onion.
