Question:

"Great Bodily Injury" explanation, Whats the explanation of this quote?

I was reading the definition of "great bodily injury" and a part of that definition caught my attention, "(g) Severe physical pain inflicted by

torture." What kind of "pain" are they talking about here? Pain that lasted for about a few hours? Or pain that can put his life in danger? Help please

  1. I think it refers to immediate pain.  


  2. If you looked at the definition it said "torture"  most of the time this WILL cause a person to die or live in a vegetated state for the rest of their lives.

    I hope that this helps you in your understanding.  Also if you do not know the meaning of a word then look it up in the dictionary to get your own interpretation of a word means.

  3. Sounds to me like you are talking about a domestic violence charge and if so GBI can go from a small bruise to a broken bone!
