"Great minds have purposes; others have wishes" Please give me the interpretation for this quote?

My little sister(13) want to do a small speech for one minute regarding the interpretation of this quote...plz its urgent

  1. I think it basically means what it says. Great mind's have purposes, as in they have a goal or goals in life and something to succeed to and they go and get it. Where as others simply wish for those things, but never go get them.


  2. Wishes and purposes are two different words. Purpose is a reason to work for. Wishes are things you want. If you have a wish in your life you might not work for it some times. But if you have a purpose thats your reason to work for,

  3. I know that only loosers dream and wishes for stuff

    where as winners are always trying to seek somethign better.

  4. Great minds say, "I will make this happen."  Others only hope it will happen, but lack the drive to see it through to completion.

    So, for example, a great mind will go out and hustle to make a million dollars.  A not-so-great mind will just play the lottery.

  5. The quote means that if you have a great mind then you will be properous in life and will fulfill all your goals.   But if you have no great wants in your mind then thats all you'll have is wishes and nothing else.
