  1. loosen the lock nut on the cables. loosen the cable adjustments as much as possible.remove 2 screws from the control button clam shell. gently remove the barrel ends of the cables from the throttle sleeve. the throttle cables snap into the bottom of the clam shell, you will have to pull and twist to remove them from the control. next, remove the air cleaner. find the other end of the throttle cables where they attache to the butterfly at the carb (or throttle body, if fuel injected) loosen the barrel ends at this end and snake the lines out from under the tank. new cables goes back the same way. to adjust the throttle after reassembly, use the adjustment s***w on the cable end to take up the slack in the cable. leave a little slack in the cable when tightening it. lock down the lock nut and you're done. warning: the two cables are NOT the same. be sure you put the correct cable on the correct side of the throttle body and the throttle sleeve. you should replace one cable at a time so you don't mix them up.

go slow and pay attention to how it comes apart. not that hard, just don,t force anything.

  2. loosen the set s***w at carb /// and remove throttle handle slide cable out... sorry dont you have a book....not really hard ... might have to remove tank  and cut a few clips to get it out. and adjusting it back will be the hardest problem

  3. You have to slack off the adjuster nuts for the two cables then open the throttle side switch housing to get the cable off.At the other end you need to remove the air cleaner to get at it.It's easiest to unbolt the tank so you can lift it up a bit to get clearance.Re-adjusting the cables be careful you don't get them to tight or it will cause them to break. It would be best if you went and got a service manual. There's a ton of stuff you can do yourself on a bike and keep your money in your pocket instead of a dealers.
