  1. 2000 thousand is much more than band though. A band would be not much over a handfull something about the size of a group. People do seprate themselves into bands though. There is The Washington Consensus Globalization Band, The Socialist Band, The BNP Band, The Neo n**i Band, The Armed Forces Band, The Civilian Band, The Law Enforcement Band, The Democrat and Republican Bands, all sorts of Political Bands. The answer tohow have things become different could befound in the desire forThe Human Right To Peace which if added to constitutions of the world could effect change. The Human Right to own the planet and conserve natural resources could unite people and so leave not as many bands .

  2. "The migrations out of Africa are estimated to have begun some 60,000 years ago. But little was known about the human trajectory between Eve and that period."

For crying out loud... They never get anywhere near the right exit date. It's much more likely to be 100,000, as modern human remains that old are in China.

We started settling down into villages and towns about 16,000 years ago in the far East (Jomon). The farming/urban culture probably spread because you can raise more people on the same size piece of land as farmers, meaning armies. It arose independently in the middle East later.

Farmers actually had poorer nutrition than hunter gatherers, but there were a lot more of them. This allowed them to take the hunter gatherers territory, except in land that isn't fit for agriculture. So the meme spread.

  3. whats changed is that we now interact with thousands of people throughout our lives, rather than just a select few.

And the edge of extinction comment is pretty true, its the population boom thats going to bring us there when we run out of resources.

  4. Lmfao at Spook... Edge of extinction ? They figure by 2050 the population of Earth will be approximately 10 Billion...

  5. We now liuve in larger separate bands.

The actions of some of these bands (are u listening America?) are in danger of bringing the Human race to the edge of extinction.

  6. Uh, most humans live in cities.

We're in contact with nearly every other human, and now inhabit the world (rather than little spots on only one continent).

    Interesting read!
