"I really do love you". Does he mean it?

He always say he loves me. We are great when we are together, I could feel he really cares for me. The problem is when we are not together. He seldom calls. He always has reasons for not calling. One time I called he doesn't answered then a minute later he turned off the phone. I'm getting confused. We are in a long distance relationship. For me call is very important at this point.

ive had that before!! and i dont think he usually means it its just like "a mask" to cover up i mean he probably does care about u but, him just telling u this is a form of stiill keeping u comfortable in the ralationship!! maybe hes not that into u, dont take it seriously because when i meet someone and he tells me that even though say like weve been going out for sometime its not that fast for u to fall in "love" its nice but sometimes u just cant trust what their saying.
