  1. Who is selling these weapons to Iran?

I bet it is a member of the UN Security Council.

Who gave Isreal nuclear caapability (the one they deny)?

I bet it is a member of the UN Security Council.

How all our "leaders" shamefully let the human race down.

  2. I just don't get the obsession with Iran.  And its always alarming when they start issuing statements with words like could in them.  Aliens "could" attack tomorrow!  If Iran wanted to target British bases in Iraq then surely they have had plenty of opportunities to do so and whilst we were engaged in heavy fighting with "insurgents" would have seemed like a good time to me.

Having read the post above me it seems people are buying the media hype.  We don't know that Iran is supporting the insurgency and it seems unlikely. Iran is quite a forward looking Islamic nation in some respects.  In common with Iraq they do not have a very hard line - women work and are not covered from head to toe.  They are far more reasonable than the Saudis - the inventors of fundamentalism.

  3. what do you mean 'could' - Iran is supporting the insurgency and supplying part of the weaponry, every military expert has said that

even though iran and iraq have had their differences, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and at the moment the occupying forces are the enemy of pretty much every arab/islamic organization

  4. Yeah that was used before Iraq's invasion, but here the situation is a little more complicated.

1- Iran has got already proxies in Iraq and is already providing weapons and IED's to target the coalition there.

2- Iran has proxies in Lebanon (Hezbollah) and Palestine (Hamas) and is using them as scarecrows

3- Iran has long range missiles which could reach farther than Iraq and the 1996 mini demo in Lebanon showed that they would know how to use them...

So before hitting the nuclear facilities and other strategic nerve bundles in Iran:

1- Internal proxies should be disabled in Iraq. Status: Working on it.

2- Satellite proxies should be disabled. Status: Ongoing. Syria is the key to supply weapons and finance to the Lebanese Hezbollah and Palestinian Hamas and if turned, it will drop them like hot potatoes, and for the right incentive it would even go after Hezbollah and turn its arsenal into Junk...

3- If all of the above does not scare Iran, and if the sanctions (old and future) will not change Iran's positions, the world ailing economy and oil prices would be he best propaganda to be used against this ODD ONE OUT, and it will be either pushed by sanctions to commit a deadly mistake (Saddam into Kuwait) or to Surrender (Like Khomeini did before aftwr the deadly first gulf war).

  6. Will it be another ‘within 45 minutes of attack’?

It’s seems if you talk tough your popularity increases with the public e.g. Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair - if only for a short while.

If you get involved in a war you get extra bonus points.

Be prepared for the following in the next few days:

George Bush will start using  'peace-making' words like infidel and crusade.

Gordon Brown will start talking about intelligence reports.

This is all a bit of a nuisance really with the UK Parliament about to go into summer recess (another 2 months paid holiday!).

But the opportunity is there for a banner headline:

BROWN RECALLS PARLIAMENT OVER IRAN CRISIS

At least the MPs will be able to claim it all on expenses!

The plan then will be to shift from the 'crisis caused in world markets by the credit crunch' to the 'political instabilities in the Middle East and it's effect on world peace'

Rest assured - Gordon Brown still sees himself as the man to see us through these difficult and turbulent times - which is strangely discomforting.

There will of course be lots of 'regret' and 'no alternative' and possibly another UK Prime Minister will utter those immortal words 'It's time to move on' and 'God will be my judge on that'.

  7. Here we go again. They are talking-up another war.

More troops, more lies, more destruction. More oil.

This time Israel will be involved & it could lead to world War 3.

  8. and in a couple of months it will be

''we took action to topple a corrupt regime and unseat a despot''

wouldn't it be better to sort out those problems in Zimbabwe instead?

  9. Napalm time I think
