  1. No as shown here in yahoo answers, theres just way to many haters out there. A McCain presidency will only drag the country lower in its standing in the world and we will become a wholly owned subsidery of China, India and South America due to McCains "Free Trade" Ideas.

  2. This is as arrogant, ignorant, & apathetic, of a question that has been recycled through our racist/discriminative/incoherent news organizations. I'm not speaking about only Fox News, i'm speaking about the MAJORITY of the televised "news" networks. The ratings are their goal, if you haven't realized!

    WAKE UP!

  3. The Americans who don't see race as a major factor are ready for anything.

Those who do see race as an issue are not ready for anything.

The democrats are sadly color conscious, and segregate the county into categories and their leaders play one against the other for their own power. This is not good for our country.

AND if the "BETTER QUESTION" is about George Bush and you relate that to the opening question about whether we are ready for a Black President, then your question was disingenuous and politically motivated at an idiotic and base level.

Every "Black" candidate is an individual, some would be great, but Obama is a non experienced fool with bad and destructive policy ideas. No way are we ready for THAT black president, any more than we are ready for another Jimmy Carter.

  4. Yes, America is ready for a black President. However, Obama is not the one. I won't vote for him because he is going to raise our taxes and he is a liberal socialist Democrat. We need a President that is not a socialist but a capitalist. Socialism never works. Why work hard if more than half of what you make is taken away and given to someone that doesn't like to work?

  5. Yes. Absolutely

  6. yes we are.just not this one.i would have voted for condi rice.

  7. who is this "american" you speak of...?

  8. I think the United States is more than ready for a black president of a woman president.  Unfortunately we are not ready for and will never be ready for Obama or Clinton.  Both are borderline incompetent in their ideas and Obama's lack of experience is scary at best.

His proposals to increase taxes when the country is on the verge (if not in) a recession is irresponsible.  Everyone likes to ping on the President but everyone fails to acknowledge that we have not had any attacks on our soil since 9/11 and collections are at an all-time high.

  9. America won't be ready for a black president at any point in time until they get one and have had one long enough to realize things will be fine.

As for GW Bush, I don't think McCain is entirely like Bush.  He has too many things in common for my taste, but McCain has a sense of fiscal responsibility that says he's willing to sacrifice in order to keep the budget under control, unlike what Bush has done in building up record deficits and debts.

Obama's race will cause a lot of stir, but it won't take very long for people to realize that it really doesn't change anything, just the same as people realized that John F. Kennedy's Catholic beliefs didn't mean he would be loyal to the Pope over America.  Once this sinks in, very few people will have problems with black presidents, other than those who have problems with black people in general.

  10. ....it's not about skin color, its about running this country properly and effectively

  11. You are operating on a false premise. I would definately vote for a black president, if he was worthy to be one. Both options are not very good. It's what you get when corporate mainstream media decides for you! You did this to yourself, America!

  12. I want a half White Half Black man

  13. YEP!  Condi 2012!!!

  14. Who cares what his skin color is?  Why is the fact that he's black such a big deal to people?

  15. You know it's ironic and funny ...

Black democrats are mostly racist, probably the most racist group in the USA.

White democrats have many racists among them. Much more than republicans. We saw this in the primaries, and I already knew it. The KKK have been mostly democrats.

Latino Democrats are largely racist, you know, LaRasa, or "THE RACE" is an accepted group among Mexican  "Americans", even elected officials.

Democrats work to put people into groups by race and pit groups one against the other to gain power from the divisions.

Republicans who are much less racist on average, are called racist by these democrat racists, because that's what those racists do to create division.

The very Republican party was created to fight against slavery.

Why are republicans called racist? Because they want all people to be treated equally with disfavor nor favoritism towards any people because of race or other superficial differences. Exactly Martin Luther Kings Dream ...

Was MLK a racist? The democrats of today would call him that, only if he was white though.

  16. i am but im not voting for obama. He want s tax the rich and give the money to the poor. I might as well quit my job so obama will give me money to.

He wants to tax the oil company's to make us pay more for gas.

  18. Yes ready any one come through election, It is nothing matter for america.
