Question:

"It's All Downhill From Here"...What does this saying mean?

What do you think this means?? I have recently had a debate with numerous people on its meaning. Some say it means that things are getting worse from now on (as if something is tumbling down a hill and out of control, etc). Others, however, think it is a good thing because going downhill is easier (as opposed to the saying "It is an uphill battle"). Which is it??

  1. ive always thought of it as stuff getting worse but i guess it just depends if ur a pessimistic or and optomistic person

  2. The hard part of the saying is to get to the top of the hill is a climb or up hill walk of years getting tired along the way

When finally the top is seen and reached and now the walk takes a new direction down it is no longer tiring to do

So it is in life to get to a life style that is pleasing you each of us has a task as walking up a mountain side with cars and trucks blowing horns all the time for us to get out of the way

Reaching the top the cars and trucks now stop and ask if we would like a ride to the bottom after a long climb up the mountain

That is why life seem to speed up when we have our lives established and safe

  3. It's both.  It all comes down to whether you're a "glass half full" or a "glass half empty" kind of person.
