The Spanish tactician has admitted that it is impossible for the defending champions to catch up on Real Madrid in the race for the Liga BBVA title.
Guardiola has conceded that Los Blancos may have already won the Spanish La Liga title as he deems his side to be far behind in the title race.
He claimed that it will be unrealistic to think that the league is still open and expressed that even though there are a number of fixtures to be played, he is not too optimistic about retaining the Spanish Primera.

Although Sunday’s result provided Pep Guardiola’s men with some initiative, the Catalan mentor has stated that he does not have his hopes high.

"It is difficult to see them losing more games. I still don't think we will win the league. Mathematically it is possible but I do not think we will make it.”
"I said the same thing a few days ago: our objective isn't to be thinking about clawing those eight points back. I think that would be a mistake. I said what I said three days ago. It's impossible. Nothing has changed."
The current Spanish champions will be in action once again this Tuesday as they face Granada at the Nou Camp.
