Some say shakespere some say tennyson and others say the military but who really came up with this quote.

  1. It is william shakespeare " to be or not to be" which inspired many authors to write under the same subject and I  am guessing from what I read that  Alfred Lord Tennyson just went more into detail and said"Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but to do and die",
