we use a canvas bag similar to those used by paper delivery kids it holds lots of stuff and slings over the shoulder so easier to carry heavier loads and it is washable

They tried that already in the 80's and early 90's! It didnt work then probably won't work now!

I like plastic bags.  They are light, and they don't leak.  I don't "toss them", I burn them in my burn barrel.

Plastic bags have enough fuel in them to make a car go for one mile.  We should all stop using them.  If I forget my reuse bag, I reuse cardboard boxes for the store.  Hey it works for me.
