Heather - jeepers, what a stroke of lightning out of the blue luck coming across you! My heavens, are you not the most provincial creature in the history of this planet? Even in this day and age of technology and space travel??

Oh, by the way, it is 6 PM here in Japan.

Um, the fact that you can see so far past your own doorstep in concert with your profound views on justice and injustice does not reveal what you think it does. You truly are highly provincial.

  1. It means to me that our justice system is flawed. The courts are many times wrong in what happens when we face a judge. For example, people that face our justice system, aren't always given the same treatment than a celeb or a person doesn't get a "fair shake" when it comes to sentencing, fines and such unless they have a good lawyer. Some are convicted and sentenced without evidence and others are let go with a slap on the wrist for a crime committed. Now the latter part is injustice. Justice and injustice can come from every aspect of our government, from your neighbors, your friends, the police, etc. We are treated like we are guilty before we are even found innocent. Sentences are unfair many times in a flawed society. The police have their hands tied when it comes to doing their job because of the threat of harassment and the accusations of treating a person who is committed a crime with beatings and unfairness in many peoples' eyes. Each judge or jury is quite different and can be wrong many times. You can have the injustices that are  unfair, but you get punished for something you are innocent of and it is considered justice.

In this world there is injustice everywhere and yet nothing may be done about it. This applies to everyday lives too. For example: You buy a new car and it's a lemon. You get a car repaired and you are at the mercy of the mechanics who may rip you off.

I think, in general, that all of us , haven't been treated fairly as we should be, at some time in our lives. That's injustice and especially where people are being judged or persecuted  for virtually nothing except their race, their bank accounts, their affluency or lack of it. There should one united people in this world and especially in the USA. All should be treated with the same dignoty and repect that an affluent person is, but it usually doesn't happen. Each judge or politician puts on many faces. They have to in order to get our votes. When they get into an office , they do the opposite of what they promised. Where's the justice in that? It is almost like we have one large dressing room in this world and we can go in at anytime and put on a "new face" and change ourselves to be whatever we choose to be, regardless of how it affects us all. Interesting question! So much food for thought and different interpretations!
