Question:

"Kangaroo Stayers Cop Barassi Blast" - Do you agree or disagree with Ron?

Barassi has blasted Brayshaw & the Kangaroo's decision makers for opting to stay & not re-locate to the Gold Coast.

Barassi said he fears that there are too many "small minded people" in the sport who are against national expansion.

The AFL Hall of Famers said that he reckoned that no one club should be bigger than the game & for that reason he wished the Kangaroos had moved to the Gold Coast.

One only has to read some of the posts in this forum in relation to small minded people not being able to accept that the game had gone national.

Brayshaw is currently basking in the glory after being repeatedly patted on the back by his small band of worshippers but my opinion is he will go down in history as one of the reasons for the demise of the club.

  1. I'm a North supporter and I'm 100% behind Brayshaw.

I believe we will be fine.I'm sure he knows what he is doing.

  2. How could you disagree with a footy legend! .  Your question is a waste of space, with due respect .   How can anyone honestly compare Arden St , an industrial Nth Melbourne suburb to Australia's no 1 tourist resort , you CAN'T.   James Brayshaw found away for self PROMOTION ..for his footy show gig .    When its proved he has stuffed he will have every "excuse", to say it wasn't his doing , wait and see it will happen !      Unfortunately NTH MELBOURNE are now doomed,  the AFL have provided a chance for " longevity" they have refused , Brayshaw and his cronies are to blame, and thats it , game set and match , thank you linesman, thank you ball boys .    Nth Melbourne are gone , its simple business!

  3. I didnt read your question but i wanna have s*x with ur avatar

  4. ok i cant understand a word of that go back to austraila if your gonna start apeaking in diffrent tongues

  5. TOTAL CR@P ,and just because barrassi played and coached doesn't make him right,North would need more handouts for a longer period of time to succeed on the gold coast than here in Melbourne.

why not relocate west coast to the gold coast and start the 17th team in Perth ?,mate I'm sure you would be dead against that, nobody wants to see their team moved from their home state/base

i don't think the Kanga's are bigger than the game but what will the AFL achieve by having a team on the gold coast? especially when Brisbane who won 3 flags in a row ran at a loss-if they can't make a profit how will a side on the gold coast???

p.s maybe people who are h**l bent on destroying Melbourne clubs are the small minded ones, because without us there is no comp-that i guarantee

deeduby,if its so great up there why don't the pies make a permanent move north?

  6. Supporters of any club would not want to see the demise of a club that they have supported all their lives.

I'm not a North supporter, but would be saddened to see them disappear, which is what would occur if they move up north.

Brayshaw is doing his best for the supporters, rather than being small minded.

There would be very few supporters who have the luxury of traveling interstate to barrack for their team, which is a cultural part of who they are.

And for Barassi to say that no one club should be bigger than the game, is only rhetoric, and has nothing to do with AFL expansion.

How would he act if his club Melbourne were shunted off to some God forsaken destination.

The Gold Coast is a holiday destination, that costs big $$$$ for accomodation.

Northern suburbs people do not live on Millionaires row, so being a Kangas supporter would die for the supporters, if they eventually see no way of surviving.

It's all about North supporters giving it their best shot to stay in Melbourne.

  7. It's kinda sad to get some of these stupid septic answering just for the points?

I agree with you on this, the Kangas should have taken the offer to the Gold coast, They will be lucky to survive five years, especially if they start losing heavily, the fans will drop off and sponsorship will dry up, just my thoughts.
