"LIfes a *****" analyzing the quote

Okay, this might be overlooking the phrase, but is it possible when saying lifes a *****, they threw in the word ***** not for the curse insulting word, but becuase it can relate to a girl who just messes you up or anyhting that could bring upon the ***** title. Just wondering if anyones thought of this, is ***** reffering to a girl?

The term ***** refers both negatively to any person that is particularly irksome or offensive.  The origination of the term has been coined since 1811 to denote, "the most offensive appellation that can be given to an English woman, even more provoking than that of w***e."  The idea of the phrase, "Life's a *****" is only to denote the irksome nature of life not particularly due to a woman since men can be rather irksome and offensive themselves.

Incidentally a man is referred to as a ***** as in Prison *****, but I don't believe that the first instinct of any man is to assume they could be the reason for the existence of such a saying.  

My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, " I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a *****. You've got to go out and kick ***. "  Somehow, I doubt that the phrase comes from being female.

no, but women are going to be offended by the word used in any context. by the way, a ^^^^^^ is a female dog.
