Can anyone explain to me what that phrase means? Does it mean that you know your way towards the right path, or that you don't need anyone to guide you because you'll go towards the "temptation" path regardless?

  1. "Lead me not into temptation; I can find my way easy enough" is the way I've heard it.

Yes, it means "Don't lead me.  I don't want to end up there any faster than I will by myself"

  2. It means that your path has already been set in your mind and that no amount of temptation can sway you.  Essentially, don't waste your time, I know where I"m going.  Where you are going is to the right path and up the right road.  Its just like an early resolve with s*x before marriage, if that is what you decide long before the question and time to decide comes, you will always keep with your resolve.

    Where is this quote from?

  3. i think its meant to be funny , saying that he needs no help into temptation as he has been there before , but i really dont think hes on the right path

  4. it is in my nature to do what i want and i dont need any help

  5. The speaker is rushing headlong into temptation, and saying they are doing fine getting there without anyone else needing to help with tempting them...
