  1. Did the camera come with software, you probably need to install that 1st. Or you can plug it in, and leave it for a while, its probably installing.

  2. Restart your computer. After it is restarted, click on the Start button and select RUN.  In the Open box type: CMD and press enter.  THis will open a DOS window.  In the DOS window type:  C:\  and press Enter.   In the DOS window type: CHKDSK /F and press Enter.  It should tell you that the hard drive cannot be locked for access and it should ask you if you want to run CHKDSK at startup.  Answer Y to the question and reboot.  This will attempt to correct any disk problems that might have occured when you tried to access your Camera.  After the chkdsk completes, try using your camera again.  If it does the same thing, it could be a corruption on your camera's memory card.

  3. Okay, we are talkig tech here, & we need details; What do you mean by plugged in my camera? Where did you plug it in? In the computer? With what? a USB cable I'm assuming. Then why write "I unplugged the camera, plugged in a USB, restarted... DID EVERYTHING NECESSARY! and still not workin" You plugged in a USB what? Where?

Which version of Windows are you running? What exactly is EVERYTHING? I'm only asking because we'd rather skip over steps you have already tried.

Heres what i think is happening: You plugged in the Camera, opened My Computer, Windows was still trying to recognize the new Hardware added (The camera with the USB), you were impatient & unplugged it, & now its not working anymore, that is even when you plug it in, Windows does not recognize it. It just keeps looking with the flash light.Tell me when the flash light stops searching, does it show your hard drive, DVD drive etc? Does your camera work fine?

Again, I can not suggest any steps or solution simply because data given is insufficient.

  4. The shortcut has lost the main program. Is there a chance that you deleted the original program. The flashlight indicates that the file is missing. You can manually try to browse as a browse button should be available. Browse to "c:", "program files", "the name of the software for your camera", and then locate the .exe file. It usually has a picture. However, more explaining is needed to completely solve your problem.
