Question:

"Memorial" year round plant/flower?

I'm wanting to plant something in honor and memory of a baby my sister just miscarried. I know nothing about planting flowers but it was suggested to me to help her and I think it's a good idea. My question is, what would be a good plant for this. I'm wanting something that will definitely come back year after year, like some of those bushes that produce flowers. I'll be planting it in my parents yard. Not really wanting a tree or anything too big. Any suggestions???

  1. A spring flowering shrub.  Or one that will bloom this time of year, in your area.

  2. Rose bushes are good, wherever you live. Some have very apt names.

Bulbs can be planted soon to flower next spring and increase each year.

For an edging, try gypsophillia "Baby's breath".Forget me not is a nice rememberance plant,it will seed itself and keep on indefinitely.

Good of you to try and help, mysympathies.
