    Well, whoever said that is convinced that the mind is restricted to reality. I read that quote to imply that the imagination exists on what the senses pick up, meaning that all our thoughts and ideas are based on what we pick up from others and our environments, what we learn and understand.

    I mean, I believe that that notion COULD be perfectly reasonable. My beef is, who wants to just be reasonable?

    Can I really not invent anything new? Do we all just regurgitate what we eat? What is original?

    One thing I know, people worship, or feel drawn to, what they perceive as original. It's the reason how things become "cool" and the reason why people standardize old things.

    What is original, if MEMORY feeds imagination?
