1. Carlos Quentin. He carried the White Sox through the early months of the season. We would not be where we are today without him.

  2. grady sizemore

But he will be gone in 2010 so i will have to come up with a new one by then.

  3. everyone besides lugo and crisp

  4. Jon Lester.

he's gone from being a mediocre, not very reliable pitcher to being an outstanding, VERY dependable pitcher. I think his confidence in his abilities has a lot to do with it. After that no hitter, he really proved to himself that he deserved to be where he was. I'm not so sure he believed that before then.

  5. Mike Scioscia

  6. Dustin Pedroia/Kevin youkulis Sure there not David ortis but there keeping the sox together

  7. Ryan Sweeney, Kurt Suzuki, Jack Cust, Justin Duchscherer, Carlos Gonzalez.

    Sorry, I named a few. Good Question. Here's a star =]

  8. Brian Roberts. The O's have had good power-numbers this year from Huff, Mora, Markakis, and Millar, but it's Robert's who is the true sparkplug of this offense. Without him batting leadoff, getting on base, and wreaking havoc on the basepaths, the jobs of all those guys hitting behind him gets just a little bit harder.

  9. Uhmm...Lets see...

Anderson, Hunter, K Rod, Lackey, Weaver, Saunders, Santana && Figgy!!

  10. Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, Joe Nathan and All of our starters: Fransisco Liriano, Glen Perkins, Kevin Slowey, Scott Baker, and Nick Blackburn.

  11. Youkalis

  12. Jair Jurrjens. He is saving the Braves pitching rotation right now. With Smoltz and Hudson done for the year, missing Hampton for 3/4 the season....he exceeded all expectations and is leading the majors in wins for rookies. =]

  13. yankees...johnny damon .

  14. A different answer, but I'll say Saloman Torres.

Gagne sucked as closer, and Torres really came out of nowhere and became one of the best closers in the league. Our bullpen would be even worse without him.

Even if we lost Ryan Braun or any of our other outfielders, Gabe Kapler could fill in at any spot. We've got plenty of great infielders too.

  15. Trick question. I'm a Mariners fan, it's actually not possible for my team to be that much worse...

But I'll have to say Ichiro or Felix Hernandez

  16. cosign.

mike mussina has been the glue for the yankees this year. (crappy stick glue from the dollar store that just makes your fingers sticky and nothing else, but glue nonetheless) and also posada. even tho hes hurt, as long as he is a yankee, his veteran leadership and knowledge will help everyone around him

  17. Mooooossssseeeeeee

  18. Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, Milton Bradley, and David Murphy. And as you see we are without Bradley, Murphy, and now Kinsler. And we have lost the last 10 of 12.

  19. Troy Percival

    I know...I know...I didn't pick the obvious choice Longoria

But Percival has anchored a formerly worst-in-league bullpen. He's an inspiration to the younger players(Including Longoria) and they play their hearts out every game thanks to him. That's why the pre-Percival era was so horrible and the Percival era is great. I could be biased because of how horrible Reyes was last year, but whatever

  20. This Year Mike Mussina to be honest he has carried the Yankees this year

Overall PLAYERS Derek Jeter ,Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez

  21. Michael Young, Josh Hamilton, and Ian Kinsler...

And now we probably WILL have to be without Kinsler. =(

And on the Orioles, I really don't have anybody, but I'd have to say Nick Markakis or Brian Roberts.

  22. Albert Pujols/Ryan Ludwick/Yadi Molina/Kyle Lohse

  23. ortiz, youk, pedroia, drew, ellsburry, tek

pretty much everyone but alex cora , julio lugo and coco crisp

  24. Lance Berkman/Astros

  25. Carlos Quentin. He was hitting when no one else on the White Sox was and he has been consistent all year. The man is the MVP of the White Sox, if not the AL.

  26. Manny Ramirez

  27. Mike Mussina who somehow is having a Cy Young Award year.

  28. Ian Kinsler & Josh Hamilton.

Unfortunately we'll more than likely have to deal with Kinsler out for the rest of the season.

  29. Brad Lidge.

The only pitcher worth a d**n on the Phillies' worthless team. He's also much more consistent than their batters, who are in a slump right now.

  30. Without Question: Tim Lincecum

  31. Alfonso Soriano. Just look at the difference of offensive production and most importantly record when Soriano is playing for the Cubs, and when he's on the DL.
