as presented by a major TV cable news one day this past week?

I thought it was quite hillariously ironic actually.

Think about it.....that headline is essentially telling the public that Obama the democrat who is going against the republican McCAin who essentially represents a continuation of Bush economic policies is having trouble getting votes of working class americans who essentially embrace Bush republican policies and what it has done for them.

Has this country lost its mind or what??

LOL

  1. I think the working class people have it right and are concerned about the liberal policies of Obama.  Therefore, he will have trouble gaining those votes between now and election day.

What is funny is how the media continue to portray Obama as a savior for the middle class and it just isn't working.

  2. Because we don't want his government handouts. We want to work to achieve our dreams. We want the goverment out of our personal lives.

He has never had an actual job. What exactly is a community organizer anyways. Do you  go around making sure everyone stays where they are?  "Don't you dare try do get a better job, you stay right there and I will get you a government handout!"

  3. Actually it was that nobody is getting them. They are undecided, and too busy working for smaller wages, and have larger bills to pay then they did 8 years ago.

They are just trying to figure out how to pay for gas and food. They will worry about the election about a week before the vote.

There were only 5 miilion jobs created over the Bush administration versus 28 million under Clinton. Wages adjusted for inflation are way down too.

So much for the idea that not taxing the rich will cause more jobs and it will trickle down to real people. The rich kept it.

I am very grateful that I prospered over this time thanks to free Computer programming training offered by my community college using a grant from Bill Clinton's administration. I did well, and was able to pay for my own MBA after that.

  4. ya....they let obama run for president

  5. The regular guy wants to be a millionare, not food stamps.

  6. For the life of me, I can't rationalize it.  Too many working people in this country are deluded into believing that trickle down economics is a real phenomenon.  Too many people think that they are "middle class," instead of disposable pawns.  Too many people feel that our cities are in decay because of the people who live there.

  7. Well, I think the working class would like to hear a little more then change, change, change, change, change, change, "same as Bush, same as Bush, same as Bush".  I think Obama sounds like a dream come true, but many don't really know what he means when he talks about change and HOW he will do it.

  8. I saw that too...I was thinking we have been watching American Idol too long. It has fried our brain.

  9. Well, nothing.  The liberal elitists lost the blue collar vote to the Republicans some 27 years ago.  Blue collar workers are a smart bunch; they know who represents them, who doesn't, and which candidate is out of touch with America.  They also understand that making a slow economy a poor economy is not in their best interests.  Besides, Republicans don't refer to them as "red necks" and other derisive terms for them so loved by the Democrats.
