"Playable Hand in Late Position" means I can go ahead and play on it "if" no one has raised after the flop?

Because it sounds like you can still play on it even if everyone else has raised, since it literally says "playable hand late". ???

Example: 5 4 of suited

And 5 4 off suit.

  1. Gambling is Awesome!

  2. it means that if you are in a position near the button (preferably on the button), and you can play the hand by just limping in... then do it. Since you are one of the last to act post flop you can:

    1. Bet if you majorly hit the flop (like trips or a straight).

    2. Check if nobody before you has bet, and see a free card.

    3. Make a play at the pot if everyone before you has checked. This is very useful if there's a scare card on the board (like an ace).

    4. Fold if somebody has bet, without committing any more money to the pot.
