Bit of a weight difference from Feb to March, don't you think?

I'd like to note that I would HATE for this to be true because it is a terrible stress to put on a family and I am in no way attacking either party, but for months now even before Palin was thought of for VP, many have speculated that she covered up her daughters pregnancy and pretended it was her own.

How do you honestly feel about it? If it turned out to be true, how would you feel about it?

Here's hoping it isn't true.

  1. It is not true. It was tried last nite... Its a lie...NEXT...

  2. I doubt it.  That last picture is the one of Palin's swearing in as Governor of Alaska and if the daughter was pregnant it would have been noticed by a lot of people.   Leave these people alone, please find something better to do than start this kind of c**p.

  3. Can't you bitter, defeatist, angry, depressed leftists do any better than that?  How about this one:  "Bush lied, troops died!!"  Can you give that one a try?  Or visit you local Code Pink office, they can give you some ideas.

  4. Cover ups are cover ups. Don't know if it's true or not, but there seems to be a lot of circumstancial flatulence swirling around this candidate to be the VP of the US that I live in (ergo, it is my business).

To this rumour there is the fact that Palin will be investigated as to whether she abused her powers to fire a state trooper that was her former brother-in-law.

I'm just so surprised that McCain has only met Palin once. If she was your babysitter wouldn't you want to know more about her than McCain apparently knows about this woman (the former Mayor of Wacilla, AK)?

  5. First I gotta wonder about the march date you give as the reported birth date was April. If the allegation is now the child was born a whole month earlier I seriously question the credibility of this.

From what I understand of each allegation there are problems. First off, in the images most of the time Palin goes around wearing big or loose clothing which would conceal a pregnancy. Her daughter tends to wear tight clothing and in one image in March she doesn't appear to show a bump like in past images and that bump appears fairly consistent in images several months apart, not appearing like a pregnancy but more like belly fat. It actually is the same as what I have seen of some teenage girls. Second, Trig was about six pounds when born meaning this was a small baby. It's also not uncommon for a women not to show much even at six months or seven months. Various celebrities are notable for not showing. Palin being a very active woman is probably not going to be showing as much, especially considering the type of clothing she wears.

The reason people bring up her daughter is supposedly because she was out of school for several months with mono, which would actually not be unusual for a teenage girl. Mono can last for as much as four months or more and can be spread in that time as well. Those two together provide good reason for keeping a child out of school for several months. Reports from students about her being pregnant could merely be gossip in response to her absence and given her bit of belly fat isn't hard to imagine.

Also as it concerns Palin's behavior before she allegedly gave birth there are also problems with the allegations against her being the mother. Her water breaking and giving birth after flying to Alaska from Texas, around eight hours I read, is not as abnormal as it may appear. First off the airline she took doesn't appear to have any specific policy on pregnant women flying. Secondly it is not unusual for a woman to go into labor a whole day after her water breaks.

Suffice to say, I'd like a little more evidence, because right now there just isn't sufficient evidence. However, it would honestly have no impact on me, I intend to vote for Obama. I like Palin, but it's the guy on the top of the ticket I have problems with.

  6. Wasn't that the story line on Desperate Housewife's get a clue

Me I could wear my regular clothing for the first 6 mths of my pregnacy espically with the secound one

  7. Makes as much sense as a lot of the things that have been said about Obama.

  8. Guys,

Look at the timeline of when she claims to have broken water and what she did afterwards and see if it makes any sense.

She apparently broke water in Texas, stayed to give her keynote address, then got onto plane. NOT a G5, not her own private plane. She flew commercial and flew 8 hours, without anyone on the flight knowing that she was literally giving birth?!? And when she lands in her home state of Alaska, what does she do? Not stay in Anchorage to go to one of the better hospitals in the state, she gets into a car and drives 45 minutes to a remote clinic, in a place that she knows very well.

If indeed she was pregnant, this would be extremely poor judgement for a mother of 4, who knew she was pregnant with an at risk birth.

So YES, THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT!

  9. I live in Alaska, I just heard this rumor for the first time today and it's not even on the local media here and probably won't be unless some real evidence comes to light. This could be political dynamite to anyone near it so caution will be the watchword for the mainstream media. Here's best info I could find. I first checked the original articles on the pregnancy announcement and then the birth from the Anchorage Daily News: http://www.adn.com/front/story/336402.ht... & http://www.adn.com/politics/story/380560... . Both of those stories seemed to have some controversy before this rumor and that's all it is right now but there are some circumstances when combined compel one to entertain the possibility. Here was the best I found, as far as complete with references/links around the subject: http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-69834 It's very hard to believe for me, but as they say "truth sometimes is stranger than fiction"

  10. Boy, you guys are throwing it all up against the wall just hoping any of this dung sticks, aren't you?

Shame on you, does your mother know what you are doing in the basement?

  11. If this is true it raises a LOT of questions! A woman who says that abortion is wrong even in cases of incest or rape, and who says that she would want her daughter to have a child even if she were raped….THEN, this Down’s Syndrome child? Are you thinking what I’m thinking? All I know is 44 year old Mom’s often have children with birth defects but teen moms very seldom do….EXCEPT in cases of incest

  12. Bring me meat not stink.

I don't like McVain or Palin, but this kind of question shouldn't be asked without something real behind it.

  13. Hope it's not true, but I wouldn't judge her.  Politicians are human beings too.  It's ironic how people quickly judge politicians and celebrities when they hear a gossip about them, but they can't stop to look at their own flaws and mess ups.  They act like if they've never killed a fly or broken a plate.  Plus they don't even verify it the info is true.

  14. If this is true, McCain would go down in flames just like McGovern did when the Thomas Eagleton story came out.  I just can't see something this big being real.  It's too easy to prove, especially these days.  Sorry, just can't buy it.  If it were true, Palin would have had to make if known to the vetting committee.  It would just be too stupid not to.

  15. Desperation is a sad thing.

  16. If it turned out to be true, I would simply say that she was acting as a MOTHER.  Have you never met parents who adopted their daughter's illegitimate child and raised their grandchild as if it were their own?  I have.  It used to be quite common, in fact.  The daughter would be sent away for the duration of the pregnancy, and the parents would slowly drop hints that they were planning to adopt.  Then the baby would show up.  And then, usually sometime later after losing the rest of the baby weight, the daughter would come back from her "exchange student experience" or her "internship" or her "visit to help Grandma during her last illness" or whatever the cover story was.  Everyone around the family knew the truth, but a blind eye was turned and everyone got on with their lives.

If the daughter was pregnant and the governor was not, there are way, way, way too many people who know that for it to remain a secret for long.  Because she was the governor, people took notice of her and paid attention to her during the pregnancy.  Until someone steps forward with photos and/or medical records, I'm not going to worry about it.  And even then, I'm going to congratulate Mrs. Palin and her husband on their baby and commend them for their love and courage in raising a child with Down's Syndrome.

She may be a politician, but she's still a mother and she's still entitled to make motherhood decisions without input or judgment from the public.

    EDIT:

You asked - what woman doesn't show her pregnancy until 7 months?  That would be me.  I had such severe morning sickness that I lost weight for 4 months.  It took me another 2 months to regain enough weight just to be back at my pre-pregnant weight.  I was 7 months pregnant before a stranger could look at me and know I was pregnant.   My mother gained very little weight with my youngest brother.  When we went to church the Sunday after he was born, the people at church thought my parents had adopted him.  And this despite the fact that my other brother and I had been talking about Mom being pregnant for the last 7 months!

As for Edwards' affair:  It wasn't a secret to the folks in the Democrat national offices or to the Democrat party big-wigs here in North Carolina, and it was no secret to the press.  The affair had nothing to do with him dropping out of the presidential race and neither did the rumors.  He didn't confirm the rumors until last month.  He had people on his campaign who were paying other people to keep quiet, and there's going to be an investigation of his finances now because of the payments.  Rumors didn't hurt John Edwards - John Edwards hurt John Edwards.

  17. i honestly don't see what you're insinuating. are you saying palin's daughter gave birth and palin is claiming the child as her own? what differences are in the pictures?

  18. Her daughter has the exact same shaped stomach that the majority of teens have today. See them at the mall all the time.

Medically its called 'soda belly' from the sugar intake from all the sodas kids drink today, not a baby.

  19. i don't believe that one

often when 44 yr old women choose to get pregnant they carry mongoloid child

  20. Of course she didn't lie about having a baby to cover up her daughter's pregnancy.

The Governor, a vocal anti-choice Republican, chose to return to Alaska to have her 5th child despite the following risk factors:

    1.  She was leaking amniotic fluid (her water broke)

    2.  She was 44 years old, a risky age for childbirth.

    3.  The baby she was carrying had known "special challenges" (down syndrome)

    4.  The child was one full month premature.

    5.  She flew from Texas to Alaska on a commercial airline (Alaska Airlines) while while leaking amniotic fluid, a 10 or more hour flight depending on the length and location of her layover.

    6.  She did not inform any of the airline staff of her condition.

However, Gregg Erickson, a reporter from the Anchorage Daily News, told the Daily Kos that the rumors had been investigated and debunked.

So it appears that these behaviors are not those of a person faking/covering up a pregnancy but merely those of someone with terrible, terrible judgment.

  21. I actually like this.  the more of this c**p the dems bring out, the more we see what they are really all about.  So keep the coming.  What's next?

  22. Not true.  However,Obama is the one who thinks babies are a punishment.

  23. No, you hope it is true.

Now as governor how could she hide her pregnancy?
