"Prox Box"?

Question

I have to make a prop box for school for young children and i want to make one that not many of people would think of something out of the ordinary. if any1 has any good ideas please let me know

Different PLASTIC bottles w/ caps(children have to put/ match the right top to the right bottle)

Based on books i.e.3 bears put  props from the story and have kids act out story

Measuring: Children have to measure the objects in the box w/ unifix cubes

Prop boxes depend on the theme or book you are studying.

For example, if you were studying gardening and you read Planting a Rainbow, then you could do the following:

* packets of flower seeds

* watering can

* plastic gardening tools

* gardening gloves

* items for making labels for the flowers planted in the garden

* garden hats

* laminated rainbows with pieces for matching

* small basket

* plastic flowers for picking

* plastic vase
