"Random" Airport Security Checks?

My dad and I were flying together. His credit card. They didn't even look at my ID, (as a mater of fact, the guy actually tossed it back at me prior to security because he didn't wanna see it).

We book 8 months in advance.

  1. The TSA security list is well known for being inaccurate and outdated. It includes many people with no suspicious backgrounds or criminal records, including children. You may be guilty of nothing more than having a name that is similar to or the same as a suspicious person.

A friend of mine is routinely pulled aside for extra screening. He is of English descent, has no criminal record, and has never been involved in an organization that is controversial. No one knows why gets searched.

The government does not disclose who is on the list or why, so there is probably little that you can do.

Don't feel too bad. According to news reports, Nelson Mandela was on the list until recently so at least you're in good company!

  2. lol sucks 4 u

and uhh what the h**l is the list??

  3. lots of ways this could happen last minute travels, paying with cash, using someones Else's credit card ,and the names of the credit card dont match the name of the person flying) ,flying one way (not

    a round trip)

this happen to me when I used traveler check to pay for my flight and I was only flying one way

and I got SSSS on my boarding pass as well

  4. I don't think you can find out for sure - that information would be potentially useful to people who might use it for bad purposes.

But here are common reasons you can get "SSSS":

    * Buying a ticket cash

    * Especially buying one-way ticket for cash

    * Buying one-way ticket at last minute

    * Going somewhere far away but not checking any bags

    * Name mismatch on ID, ticket

    * Look like you've got something to hide

    * Have same last name and same first 3 letters of first name as someone on The List

Once, my flight on American was cancelled so they reaccomodated me on Delta.  The ticket was bought at 1am, and the flight left 5 hours later.  It was just a one-way - my return flight was still on American.  And it was an international flight.  Yeah, I definitely got "SSSS" that day.

  5. It is probebly your parents are from Middle East, or Muslim,  I'm Muslim and I'm on the list so when ever i go to the airport they check me like I'm hiding something.
