Question:

"Random" Drug Testing?

As a condition of my probation I am required to submit to "random" drug tests. I have only been tested once, and I have been on probation for 10 months. My question is this: it is required that I bring a $10 money order in order to do a U.A, and that is my probation officer told me they do "random" drug testing. The first month, they told me a few weeks before my appointment to bring a money order for a U.A. For the past 9 months, my p.o. has not told me to bring a money order, and I have not been drug tested again. I am not worried about passing or failing - I'm just wondering if it is possible for them to give me a U.A. without first telling me to bring in a $10 money order.

  1. They can make you do the test whether you bring in the money order or not before the test.  The problem is, you are to pay for the cost of the UA and if you don't you can still be violated in your probation for not paying it.

  2. ??  if they only tell you to bring a money order when they plan to do a drug test, then it would not exactly be "random", would it?

My advice is to purchase a money order, and have it with you at all times. Don't fill it out, you might get to keep it.  Insure that you can ALWAYS pass any drug test, and it will not be a concern.  Quit worrying.

Perhaps you will be off probation in a short time, and able to move on with your (good) life.  I wish you well.

  3. yes they can give you one anytime, but then they tell you to bring the money your getting tested

  4. bring the freegin money.

Being a smart ars is what got your in trouble in the first place.
