"Reality" Just a poem, comments please?

Where is the place,

my head should lay

for

soul to weep

heart to break,

as I must face reality,

from

day to day

year to year,

as all I've known

disappears,

swept away-as if

what was

did not exsist.

Reality

where is the place

I try to touch.

  1. I'm sorry for your friend's loss. I hope this poem touches her if she reads it. Lovely poem, Jenny.

  2. Very sorry for your friend. It is a good poem, really. Keep it up and write more amazing ones.

  3. Blessings to your friend in a time of sorrow you express well.

  4. This is not "just" a poem. It is a poem. Jenny, give your poems titles from now on. Makes them easier to track.

I am sorry for your friend and for her terrible, tragic loss at such a time.

  5. Given the footnote, it makes this even more poignant.  A simple sentiment, said simply, can be as profound as layers of esoterica.  This is said well.  I am sorry for your friend.

  6. i think that poem is related in your life....

it good.... try to make more

  7. Beautiful.

I am at that point in life now. Every month or two, someone I love leaves us. My Mom will be 86 in November. I have 3 living aunts and 2 living uncles (I started with 14) and my little sister turns 50 next year. This is the time when all I can do is hold hands, so that is what I do. My Father-in-Law passed away on the 4th of July. He wanted me to take him outside so he could feel the sun on his face one more time. The nurses and all would not let me move him. So I held his hand.

  8. This poem is filled with great sadness and despair.  I am sorry for your friend.  This poem is very real.
