"Remote Desktop Connection?" ?

i know that i can that's on my network, but i want to connect to my office computer that's located 50 miles away from my home. so i was wondering if it's possible to connect to a computer, (that's not on my network) using Remote Desktop Connection??

  2. Sure you can.  And if you configure it, anyone else can try as well - and succeed if they can guess your password.

    You would need to open/route port 3389 on your work firewall to your work computers internal IP address.  What would be a more secure, better solution is configure your work network with a VPN server and connect to your work network via VPN.  Then connect over the VPN with Remote Desktop to your workstation.

  4. Yes, this is possible. Just make sure that you have the correct IP Address of the computer you are trying to remote to. Also, the computer must be on when trying this.

  7. using the default remote desktop connection wont work unless you have your lan over the distance specified.

    but you can use third party application like go anywhere pc may dol.
