"Sassy housewife" themed bridal shower ideas!?

I'm a MOH and am planning a bridal shower for my best friend with her mom and the other bridesmaids. The theme we chose is "sassy housewife" or sort of a modern parody on the traditional 50s housewife. (To get the idea visit http://www.annetaintor.com/... : we are modeling it after this). I have a few game ideas and such, but would like to hear anything you have.

She is using a mostly kitchen items registry (crockpot, cookbooks, etc) and we are doing a recipe exchange where everyone brings their favorite recipe for the bride and we put them into a book.. The food is going to be done potluck style where each guest brings a dish. The head count is 50 to 65, with only women. Some Mormon church ladies and older women, so nothing dirty or involving alcohol. ALL other ideas welcome!!!!

You could add a whole tea party thing to it, with the big hats.

1. Get some big old lady hats put them up side down & put a flower arrangment in it & different tea cups & sauser, use them as decor.

2.Have a tea time hour,  the first hour of the party with tea, crackers, cookies, & little sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

(GAMES)

1. ''COTTON BALL GAME'' You spread a bag or two of cotton balls on a table (make sure there not too clumped together) blind fold the person, hand them a spatchula & they have 10 sec. to scoop up as many as they can.

2.''RICE & SAFETY PINS'' You put some rice & a reasonable amout of safety pins in a bowl ( safety pins should be about the size of your figure nail or the smallest ones you can find) blind fold the person & give them 20 sec. to get as many safety pins out of the bowl. Make sure they're not scooping up rice, if theres a few pieces, like 5 or 8 ok if theres more have them redo it.

3. ''GUESS HOW MANY'' fill a big glass jar with clothes pins & have the guests guess how many are in there.

4.''CLOTHES PINS'' Get a hanger (must be wire, like from the dry cleaners) hang clothes pins from it & each guests gets one chance to get as many as they can off the hanger without dropping one. They can only use one hand, they are not allowed to fix them with thier other hand or any other body part. Once one falls to the floor thier turn is over ( the ones that fall on floor do not count in thier total)
