"Shouldn't I have this"?

I was listening to my music online and the song "Passionate Kisses" came up. Part of it goes, "Shouldn't I have this, shouldn't I have this..." What makes us think we have the "right" to "have" anything? We are such self-obsessed me-monkeys that I'm amazed we aren't fighting in the streets for the last chili dog at the hot dog stand. When did we get this entitlement-obsessed?

One: you can't base the entire sect of humanity on the music you listen to.

two: if you have a problem with the self absorbedness in your music, pick a different song and stop trying to be existential.
