To me it is like swearing.  If a guy constantly saying F this, Fing that, that is Fed up, etc. when he says "F" it is meaningless.

I person never swears and suddenly tells you something Fing wrong, you pay attention because it means something

Same can be said for regular words.  The guy who talks all the time can say the exact same thing as the guy who is always silent and not get half the attention.
