Question:

"Straight-Acting" g*y Guys vs Queens? ?

Why is there such a war between "straight-acting" g*y men and the more stereotypical effeminate "queen" type of g*y man? I mean we all understand and know the stereotype of g*y men being what it is (the sagging hand, talking with a lisp, into fashion design/hair, and talking/acting very feminine) as seen on both the media and common beliefs and that most of us are taught that its a negative thing and often try to separate ourselves from that common image.

But my point is this. Whether muscled, masculine, bear, twink-ish, drag queen, feminine, all that, I mean doesn't the monster of discrimination just for sexual orientation apply to ALL? So why fight with others who happen to be different (or hate others who either ARE stereotypical OR differ from the norm). That's what divides racial, ethnic communities, countries, all that. Why can't the snobbery stop and we all just try to get along?

What's your take?

  1. The "SA's" blame the "Camps" for giving us a bad name

The "Camps" blame the "SA's" for not supporting the cause

    The war will rage forever.

  2. brilliant point....its always about image isnt it...the fact is being g*y is always seen as a negative factor...g*y pple all have a common interest and we understand each other but there is still division....humans cant help but be competitive and find some sort of division for what ever reason by what ever cause...str8 pple are hypocritical concerning their view of g*y pple and religion n 'their' morals...they only prefer morals that suit them but not those that condemn the minority....we should know better!!!!

  3. I see your point and agree with your outlook.

  4. yes....I wish ya'll would just get over it.

  5. Take it easy.It happens now and then, not only among g*y people.

This is life and just the way you learn from it, to respect and to love, the different.

  6. Everyone is designed with his own uniqueness. There shouldn't need to be a label for ones own personality.

  7. it seems like the same question as men vs. women (only in a much more campy way).  Everyone has  personality, style and character.

  8. my take on this, is that the straight acting guys who are g*y don't recognize the importance their number can have on the community of g*y people

it's hard to explain but i had this convo with my g*y uncle yesturday
