  1. Yep, I saw that today at jayski.  It will be cool for the 2 brothers to race on the same team for a little while.  I wish him luck.

edit:  This just in, Terry will keep racing until Bill Elliott REALLY retires LOL

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

    Thanks Tbone!

  3. Thanks for the info that is pretty cool.

Even if retiring is becoming a hobby for him it's alright he is a cool dude.

  4. I'm glad he is back. Petty needs the help.

  5. That's awesome. It's sad to see all of the veteran drivers fading off into the sunset, it'll be nice seeing Terry back on the track.

  6. Yes, I heard that.  I think it's great that Terry graces us with his presence once in a while.  He probably won't run very well, but at least he's not in a Toyota.

Actually, I believe the Iceman only retired from full-time racing.  And I reckon Terry can retire as many times as Joe Gibbs can, don't ya think?  lol

  7. Maybe ''HE'' can help???

But if Kyle would spend [less] time, in the booth... and spend a little more time at the shop?  He may be able to find a couple tenths laying around that they need.

Maybe Terry has a x-tra  few in his pocket

  8. Dear Terry Labonte,

    Welcome  back, and good luck!

    sincerely, Winter Glory

  9. I think he can retire and unretire until he expires.

  10. he is retired but that doesn't mean he can't come back for ONE race and he and Bobby will be on the same team i will love this it will be great

  11. Thats good, Ive always like Terry. I hear ya about the retirement thing. Unless Dale Jarrett stays retired after the all-star race the only one to stick to his retirement has been Rusty Wallace.

BTW: Have they got those fires in central Florida under control? When I went to sleep last night the had I95 shut down in a few places.

  12. NASCAR needs to finally franchise these teams that have X number of years of in the sports top level, so the Wood Brothers and Petty Enterprises is more than just a building full of second hand equipment. Kyle is doing his best to keep everything ticking because he is NOT the KING. As for the other teams move them to Nationwide and up the purse.

  13. As a Petty fan, I'm thrilled. "Texas" can come our way any time!

  14. He retires every year and comes back. Mark Martin did a farewell tour and then runs almost the whole schedule. Ricky Rudd did it best after 2006. "I am taking a break" and then when he came back, we expected it, now he is retired for good and I will loose respect if he doesn't stay there.

  15. my wife would love that

  16. terry was always a cool dude let him race the summer a few times

  17. I think that is a positive thing for Petty Racing. They need all the positives they can get.....It seems difficult for drivers to stay retired, not unlike many other sports (jordan in basketball, many baseball players, some football players, and golfers do not need to retire with the senior tour).
