What does this mean exactly? I know the guy on The Office says it all the time, but is that where it got started? If you see someone wearing it on a t-shirt, or having it in their email signature, does that mean they are a fan of The Office?

  1. it is used to make non-perverted things perverted.

    example: Wow thats big!

    - thats what she said

  2. It may have started from the Office but what it means is when someone says something that a girl would say to a guy but like in different context they would say "that's what she said"

for example if someone was asking something like "is it big?" someone could take that pervertedly and say "that's what she said."

  3. It's usually used as a sexual innuendo or double entendre and is used for comedic effect. No one knows exactly how or where it started, but one of the first known uses of it on TV is from a "Wayne's World" sketch in 1992 on Saturday Night Live on NBC:

    [Holding Claudia Schiffer picture]

Garth: Hey, are you done yet? I'm getting tired of holding it.

Wayne: Yeah, that's what she said.

It's also used a lot recently on King of the Hill, Family Guy and of course the Office.

  4. not necessarily. my sister says that all the time because a guy she liked taught her about it. she and all her friends say it now but almost none of them watch the office.

i think it just got around a lot.

  5. idk but it's used like if someone says somethng related to s*x like that's good, you can say that's what he said or that's what she said
