  1. Oh Boy have we and how the h**l does it cost £750.000 to run the torch through London just who is "collecting" this money//////if you remember £9 bn was mentioned as far back as 2007 and someone mentioned the Dome well it just goes to show what a lot of incompetents we have in this so called government// for Gods sake Brown do the proper thing and resign and all your mob and lets have a coalition i cant see the Tories on their own being any better

  2. Of course!

Surely no-one believed the original quote, that was just to get the OK for the games, now we have got them the gravy train begins, with lots of lolly sloshing about and some tasty earners to be had.

The current lie is that the cost has gone up due to security having to be increased, looks like theres plenty of plunder on the horizon for security firms!

  3. I always knew it was going to cost more than they said, but as long as we get some decent homes and train links, I can live with it.

We'll make some of the money back through tourism anyway...

  4. Interesting. Unfortunately, there won't be an uproar as we are so used to being misled over most things we just sigh and get on with it. Hopefully, a lot is recouped via tourism.

  5. They have been grossly mislead about many things by this government.

Why should The Olympics be any different?

  6. You didn't see this coming when we won the bidding?

I guess you have all the people who wanted the games to thank.

Maybe we should lump all these costs as taxes on to the members of the public who will benefit from all of this... oh that's right! NO ONE will benefit from it!

Please people... just lets not be stupid enough to ask for anything like this again. Let the Chinese have it and let them keep it. Then they can all enjoy throwing their spears and running around in a bamboo stadium at the cost of the PRC.

  7. After the Dome?  Surely not!
