Question:

"The Canadian" Vancouver - Toronto?

I'll be backpacking around 5 weeks on the westcoast of Canada/Alaska throughout May, I'm flying back to Europe on the 9th of June from Toronto, so thought it would be nice to see a bit of central canada in the meantime. There is just one thing I cannot find anywhere (VIA rail website, wiki travel, yahoo answers etc.).

If you buy a 'supersaver' ticket, is this ticket a non-stop ride, or can you stop for a night in e.g. Jasper or Winnipeg? I don't want to use the train on any other parts in Canada (will mostly be hitchhiking) so not really keen for the Canrailpass of $750

Thanks!

  1. Non stop, no stopovers and takes 3 days and 9 hours to complete, I have done it, and strangely enough so does the Greyhound bus.
