"The Missiles only struck insurgents?"?

The Talaban live in Afghanistan. Weren't they the head of the government before the U.S. invaded? So the U.S. overthrew them. Doesn't that make the U.S the Insurgents? Are we dropping bombs on ourselves?

  1. No, by definition we are not the insurgents. When we invaded to over-throw the Taliban, we were not insurgents because we are not fighting under the flag of Afghanistan but under the American flag, i.e we were an invading army. And we still aren't the insurgents because we are supporting Karzai regime.

However, while we are not dropping bombs on ourselves we are killing innocent people as well. Not only in Afghanistan. American launched 5 rockets at Somalia a few months ago and mainly hit people's houses and not insurgent hideouts. The same thing happens in Afghanistan as well, it is awful but the one of the many costs of war.

  2. Only struck insurgents is the biggest lie ever. The Missiles probably killed loads of innocent people as well.

  3. Oh, how lucky you are to have so many informed intelligent and experienced commentators!!!

Too bad none of them know their butt from their elbow.

The missiles were fired at insurgents.  Insurgents were destroyed by the missiles.  We can't be responsible for who the insurgents hide among.

I see that "combat" and "conflict" are the issues with you.

You want to hold hands across the world and sing campfire songs.

While you sing, other people want to rape and murder.

That's OK with you, as long as you can hold hands and sing.

That's not OK with the rest of us.

Have fun singing, but don't interfere with those of us that want to do something non-musical about the problem.

Before they can rape and murder, we want to stick a missile or two up their butts.

    Problem solved.
