The book was printed in 1948, but has anything REALLY changed?

It looks like a good recipe book.  However, cooking skills in a woman are not all that important to all men, if they were then I would never have got married at all, as I am only a mediocre cook (and that's giving myself the benefit of the doubt).  Moreover, at the time the book was published a lot of women still had servants to do the cooking, so they wouldn't necessarily have been using those recipes themselves, they'd have been passing them on to the cook.

As a man I am diff. now & I grew up in the 50's. I want a partner in all things. If the meal needs 2 b cooked I can do that or if  she has a better paying job great. I want 2 b with an equal in body mind & spirit. Anything less & both r cheated.
