  1. This is horrible to say, and I do not agree with it, but YES, naturally men get intimidated by smart women, therefore they do not find them attractive..

This isnt always the case, as I like the smart ones..

  2. I've asked that before and boy you should have seen the hostile answers. I was told when I was a kid that men don't like smart women, because of their male ego.

  3. ignorance is bliss, the more a woman realizes her own opportunities the harder it is for her to find a man who she will either choose over those opportunities or who she will accept as a partner in the life of her choice.

  4. All hail Oprah, smartest Tom Cruise fan on earth.

To answer ur question, since by defining smart u probably mean the smartest 10% of the population, since by definition that narrows ur pool, that is ur answer but it goes for men as well as women if the man is looking for a chick with brains instead of some bird he can just nail.

  5. So, that is why Oprah cannot keep a man.

  6. Oprah equates 'smarter' with 'pickier'.

  7. Let me try a different angle here. . . the smarter a woman gets, the less she probably needs to find "the right man" in order to get some semblance of financial security for the rest of her life.

Smarter often = better educated, which often = better jobs available, which often = more money.

Therefore, smart women can afford (pun intended) to be more picky?  If you don't so much *need* to be in a long-term relationship for economic reasons before you get too far into adulthood, there's sometimes just not so much of a behind-the-scenes drive to pick a mate.  There are always exceptions, of course, but having stable food and shelter are at least as important in terms of innate drives as anything else.

  8. In Oprah's case, I don't really believe having a man or getting married are high priorities for her. She could have gotten married at any time if she had wanted to. I just don't think it's something she really wants.

  9. That's only true when it comes to weak men who aren't worth dating.

  10. The quote seems based on a flawed premise.  Do people ever really get "smarter" ?  More educated, certainly.  Better informed, absolutely.  But smarter?  Not usually.

  11. That is probably the only thing I would agree with O.W. about. It's about finding your equal in all areas body mind and soul which ends up putting a load on us guys. We can't go with status quo anymore we have to come up to the mark & a smart woman can challenge u to do just that.
