The Portuguese mentor has asserted that his unique exploits as a manager should be pointed out and made more prominent.
Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, should be given the title of ‘Only One’ instead of the famous ‘Special One’ in lieu of his achievements as a manager.
Interestingly, the veteran tactician gave himself the nickname ‘the Special One’ during his time with English Premier League outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Prior to moving to the London outfit, the trainer led the Portuguese Primera Liga outfit, Porto, to a miraculous UEFA Champions League triumph. The feat was considered outstanding all over the continent and Mourinho rose to prominence.
As a result, the manager proclaimed that he deserves the title ‘Special One’ since he did what hardly anyone thought possible.
During his time with the English side, the tactician was able to inspire the Blues to their first English Premier League title in 50 years.
After spending three and a half seasons at the Stamford Bridge outfit, the Portuguese national moved to Italian Serie A giants, Inter Milan. His time with the Nerazzurri was also full of success as he led the Italians to a UEFA Champions League conquest
as well.
Hence, Mourinho became only the second manager in the history of the beautiful sport to win the Champions League with two different football clubs.
His next destination was his current club, where the manager was able to win the Spanish La Liga in his second year in charge of affairs.
Consequently, Jose became the only manager to win all three major domestic titles all over Europe.
While talking to reporters, the 49-year-old was quoted as saying:
"In http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 I was referred to as the 'Special One'. Things have continued to go well for me, thank God, and, whether you like it or not, I'm the only manager to have won the English, Italian and Spanish leagues. As such, instead of the 'Special One' they
should start to call me unique."
"I've always preferred the happiness of others, of those who surround me. That's why winning with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 was particularly pleasing. These are challenges, not personal goals."
Jose Mourinho aspires to win the Champions League with Los Blancos and now it will be interesting to see if he is able to deliver what is expected of him.
