  2. it is helpful to EXPAND THE ORIGINAL OPERATION

    imagine you have

    2 (3x+1) =0

    Solve it!!!

    how amn i going to solve it?? by expand it..

    by working its brackets

    6x+2=0 (eg)

  3. Possibly reverse:

    X + 2 = 5

    X = 5 - 2

    So the "+ 2" was reversed to "- 2" on the oposite side
