  1. Yeah those trees, you have to watch them, they always have a hidden switchblade or knife up their branch.

What are you on about, anyway?

  2. same reason they save damaged ,ugly, and dangerous people  because it is the right thing to do  what does an ugly tree look like

  3. I don't see such a big problem with damaged and ugly, but a dangerous tree should probably be taken down.  It's not worth keeping a tree if might fall down in a storm and do damage to something or somebody.

I would still replace it with a new tree, though, doing research beforehand on the height, spread, root structure, and other qualities in order to avoid the problems that you had with the one before.

  4. If the tree is dangerous, have it removed.  As far as the ugly part goes, I have never seen an ugly tree.

  5. if its dangerous.... get rid of it but then plant 2 tree's after that.  It gives us oxygen and obviously we need that.

  6. Sometimes its necessary to cut a tree down. Fine. Just make sure you replant several to replace it.

  7. Sorry about this but I have somthing to tell the tree huggers. You aren't all right! My family cuts down dead trees to provide heat in the winter time-no joke. it saves alot of $- If the tree is dead it is no longer producing oxegyn. Chances are if its that ugly it DEAD!!! On the other hand limit the amount of trees you cut down-many animals live in dead trees. Just remember when you cut down a fallen or dead tree you are making room for 5 more to grow in its place.

We may have different opinions but we are all right in the end. Sometimes you have to cut down trees and whe nyou do that replace it with 5 other trees. Your acting like we don't care but we do. Our kids are going to live in the world that we take care of now. Don't yell at people forour opinions we have the freedom of speech.

  8. Okay I might sound like a tree hugger but if you were damaged and ugly should you be destroyed?

As for the dangerous part, if it's hanging precariously then removal is fair enough, if there's a branch hanging precariously then just remove the branch.

  9. Because it provides us Oxygen.

  10. how insulting! what make you think 'tree huggers' dont understand ecology? we all have to go sometime. and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

having said that, we have very few ancient trees left, they provide a special ecosystem and need to be preserved where possible. a hollow trunk gives strength, and an oak can live hundreds of years after it has started hollowing.

  11. trees give us oxygen

and whats your problem with tree huggers

  12. who is to say if a tree is "UGLY"?

    if its damaged... fix it..

if its danderous or diseased - yes it should be cut so it doesnt become a problem if it falls on somebody...

even in death trees can be beautiful

  13. I'm sure a tree would ask the same about you.

You miss the point.... Trees oxygenate the planet. We need oxygen to survive. Starting to get the point yet?

  14. I hear trees scream, scream for help. I spend most of my days listening to the plees and cries of my dear dear friends the trees. I say no try, none should ever ever be cut. Immitation wood is the only way to go.

  15. " Anti-Tree Hugger" - Why should a human like you be "saved" that is damaged(in the brain), ugly & dangerous?

All living things deserve their right to live.

First of all, you totally neglect the importance of trees. It is only through photosynthesis that we are able to have enough oxygen to live on, and trees serve as the living habitat of wild animals, playing a huge role in the ecosystem. I'm sure any human would have the brains to know that we trees provide you with oxygen.

We trees might be ugly, but we do our job well. We still do the best we can to provide oxygen in our atmosphere. How about you human? Do you think a human with ugly character should be saved.

When a tree is dangerous, you cannot blame us. If you hadn't kept on using those fertilizers and stuff, there would not be soil erosion and we would still be stuck in the soil. However, you cause the soil to loosen by your environmental unfriendly ways to the environment, so when  a storm comes by, we are bound to fall.

Tree Hugger since the day I was born
