"U.S. Claims Services"...a scam?

Question

I recieved a letter from US Claims Services that I've heard is a scam, but the money really is mine- from a check I was never paid through Starbucks, they sent me a letter after I stopped working there and it was at the wrong address and I never was able to claim it, and now a few years later...I got this letter. So I know its probably a scam, but is there really a way to get these unpaid wages back? Does anyone know the step-by-step way of going about this? I tried to check it out online and can't find anything.

Oklahoma unclaimed property can be searched FOR FREE at the link below.  Oklahoma can't be the only state that does this.

"US Claims Service" will charge you to check.  If they find nothing, you still have to pay them.  If they find something, their fees will increase to eat up the entire amount of unclaimed check, and then some.

Either way, you're screwed.
