Question:

"Unsupported content type" on Sprint/Nextel i265 phone model?

For the last three months, I have been able to access my hotmail account through my i265. Then, all of a sudden, one morning, I get an error message that says, "Unsupported Content Type". I can access all other websites, thought, except for hotmail. Sprint/Nextel is saying it's MSNs problem, MSN is saying it's Sprint/Nextel problem. Nobody's been any help, so I'm turning to Yahoo answers. Anyone experience this before? Help!!

I have done a master reset four times (per Nextel's recommendations) along with numerous other things.

Thanks!

  1. I have an i355, and have been getting hotmail for ever since I can remember (2-3 years) and even multiple hotmail accounts. I too, as of a few days ago, am now getting the same "Unsupported Content Type" message when attempting to access hotmail - Contacted CS at Sprint/Nextel - They asked I perform a master reset a couple of times and then opened a ticket on this issue, and inferred this could take 24-48 hours to correct. (It's been 4 days already) but they did not seem to know about what this was all about and actually kind of gave me the run around the couple of times I contacted them prior..

Addt'l info - I used to be able to sign in and out of hotmail - I haven't been able to do that quite while now - Not sure what has happened, but when I go to the MSN.com home page on my phone, I do get a partial menu, but the message at the top and bottom of the phone is "the page you requested can not be found, the page you were attempting to view may not exist or may have moved - try checking the web address for typos......."
