  1. The power inverter is a great idea!  Just plug it into your cigarette lighter, and your good to go.  i have purchased an inverter from "dcacpowerinverters."   Here is there link!

  2. yes

I have a inverter and extra batteries and use this set up to watch television and make coffee in the morning

  3. if any of your appliance can run off 12v battery then you could get a deep cycle battery then charge it backup with generator when possible.

  4. Power Inverter if you have a 12v battery.  Otherwise enjoy camping in silence, which is why you should be camping in the first place is to enjoy the outdoors.  Leave your TV, Video games, appliances etc, at home.

  5. yes, you can hire a power cable.

  6. I also carry a deep cycle marine  battery to run my inverter. I can plug in a number of low amp appliances for quite a number of hours.

The difference between a deep cycle and regular car battery is that, in a regular car battery, when fully charged, starts at as much as fifteen volts and as it is used, immediately begins to drop in voltage, at a gradual and smooth rate untill it nears zero volts and then is fully discharged.  Most small invertters will shut down at around 10 volts in order to prevent damage to it and the appliances.  A deep cycle battery starts at the full 12 to 15 vols, and maintains that voltage, at a steady level until it is just about exhausted.  At that point, the voltage drops very rapidly, going from 12 volts to zero in minutes.

  7. If you do alot of camping you can buy a deep cycle battery, a inverter and a small charger and that will take care of all your problems without having to worry about the battery..............

  8. I have an inverter in my camper it converts 12volts to 110 volts and it powers my lights TV fans etc.as long as battery remains charged

  9. An electric fry pan will draw about 1250 watts,,a considerable amount of power for an inverter. Consider using the good old COLEMAN  stove and lanterns, been used for decades. TV's may be purchased that run on batteries or 12 volt.
