Waitaminute, and I say this in the nicest possible way. YOU'RE going to decide the world's greatest musician? What are your qualifications for such a bold statement?

This question more accurately belongs in Music or Polls, not Radio. Radio people don't know anything about real music ;<) - with the exception perhaps of NPR folks.

Maybe it's a trick question, the periods after the letters in TIME?

Anyway it's either Bach (as mentioned by another) or Beethoven, who did much of what Bach did, but composed and played his best piece after losing his hearing.

But, after reading your profile (and I urge other answerers to take a peek, interesting profile) you will probably be looking for the answerer to proclaim God or Jesus as the greatest musician.

No offense, but if that's the case, this question might be better served in Religion.
