  1. They can't get it right because weather is unpredictable.

  2. because it can change in an instant

  3. because they use what they think what will happen based on what has happened before and weather almost always does something that we cant explain such as hurricane Charley Turing east for no apparent reason at last minute and going directly through Florida

  4. Our Texas Doppler guys are super!!!

They are cowboys at chasing tornados and warning good  Texas folks about them in time...

    God Bless them all!!!!

  5. They can't predict when the winds are going to change.

  6. They should only hire people who have had broken bones, not just whatever training they get.

I have titanium bolts and spacers holding my skull together, I feel every little bump, and change in the pressure, I can predict what's going to happen BETTER than the TV guys/gals.

They only rely on charts, which NEVER show sudden changes.

  7. They actually do get it right most of the time. You just notice it more when they don't.

  8. If Meteorologist forecasts rain, you expect that it shoud rain over your house only and you do not admit it as a correct forecast if it rains over your neighbour's house. That is the problem with everybody.

  9. Meteorologists generally are fairly accurate in this day in age.  The typical weatherman is probably about 80-90% accurate in terms of temperature and precipitation forecasts.

However, due to the chaotic nature of the atmosphere, analyzing the weather is a very sensitive venture. Meteorologist make use of different models which portray different weather measurements such as dewpoints, expected precip, winds, etc.    They then take into consideration local effects, model error/inconsistency, and personal forecasting ability to come up with their own forecast.

So, you see, a forecast is only an educated guess taking what we have in current technology and personal knowledge and applying it to our decisions.

  10. because. they base all of their knowledge on a bunch of inaccurate equipment. they never take into mind the random variables that happen with the weather. i have found that i'm far better at predicting weather for up to 3 days than a weather man is.

  11. The weather people read the report in front of them.  That report is made at head office which is probably a thousand miles away from where you live.     I have had the weather  forecast say  " a sunny day" as I look out the window into the morning rain.

Have started to think opposite to what they say to being closer to the truth for the day.
