    I would say it's more accurate to say New drivers,

  4. Yes, it's actually been proven scientifically... A couple of years ago, some researches did some brain scans while test subjects drove simulated cars.  The found that the younger the test subject, the less ability they had to realize when a dangerous situation was developing.

    Rubbish... If a gun wielding maniac ran up to them, I'm sure they would recognise it as danger.

    The statements should say something like:

    "Young drivers are less likely to recognise DANGER when it looms. Even sensible ones."

    or something.
