Jews are an ethnic group and Turks are an ethnic group.  Turks are descended from Mongolian invaders of the thirteenth century, Caucasian tribes of Southwest Russia (related to the Azeri of Azerbaijan and the Nokchii of Chechnya), ancient Romans, Greeks and also have a little Arab blood.  There were ancient tribes that existed in Turkey as far back as 7,000 BC and they were conquered by whoever went through there (pretty much everyone).

Jews come from over 100 countries, are Semitic but not Arab, are classified as Caucasian but are not exclusively European, as there are Mizraic, Falasha, Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews, possibly one lost tribe, and I think, at least 10, of which those are four.  They are a distinct ethnocultural group with their own language, religion and history.  Their civilization, the Hebrews, were one of the founding civilizations of Western culture.
